1. Removing the Back Cover
- Flip the Machine: Place the Artilume T1 upside down on a flat, stable workspace.
- Prepare Your Tools: Open your Artilume tool kit and take out the medium-sized hex wrench (Allen key).
- Unscrew the Cover: Use the hex wrench to locate and carefully remove the 4 screws securing the back cover.
- Lift the Cover: Gently lift the back cover off. Note: Pull the internal wires very gently to avoid damaging the connections.
2. Disconnecting the Old Motherboard
- Remove Motherboard Screws: Unscrew the screws securing the wire connector, followed by the 4 screws holding the motherboard in place.
- Peel the Protective Tape: Carefully peel off the protective tape attached to the back cover. Do not fold or damage this tape, as you will need to reuse it later.
- Remove the Adhesive & Unplug: Flip the motherboard over to access the front side. Carefully remove the protective glue covering the socket, then firmly pull out the wire connector to completely detach the old motherboard.
3. Installing the New Motherboard
- Connect the New Board: Take out your new replacement motherboard. Insert the wire connector into the designated socket near the power port opening.
- Ensure a Secure Fit: Press down firmly on the connector to ensure it is perfectly seated and locked into the socket.
- Reapply the Tape: Carefully stick the protective tape back onto the inside of the back cover in its original position.
- Position the Motherboard: Place the new motherboard correctly back into the machine's housing.
- Secure the Board: Reinstall and tighten the screws for the wire connector, and then secure the motherboard by tightening its 4 mounting screws.
4. Final Reassembly
- Close the Machine: Align the back cover over the machine housing.
- Tighten the Exterior Screws: Insert the 4 exterior screws and tighten them evenly with your hex wrench to secure the back cover.
Your motherboard replacement is now complete! You can plug your Artilume T1 back into the power supply and turn it on to verify it is functioning correctly.
